Have you ever had a near-death experience? How close have you come to dying?

This may not count, nearly died at birth, and of pneumonia at six months. It was close enough for my mother to think she was going from 3 kids back to just 2.

Do you think society puts too much pressure on people to be in relationships and/or have children? Do you think this ostracizes people who would be perfectly content to remain single and/or child-free? Is this pressure worse around the holidays?

Yes. And yes.

There are people on this earth that should not reproduce. Some realize it about themselves.
If more people understood that, there wouldn't be so many unloved/unwanted/resented children.
